Beeswax Wraps - 3 Medium Pack - Land

The wraps are great for shaping around food and bowls, or folding into packages to store food at room temperature or in the fridge. They even work well for wrapping non-food items such as a soap bar or a toothbrush whilst travelling. Open out a wax wrap, and flex and fold it to loosen it up. It may be a little stiff from being folded and sent out to you. Use the heat of your hands to fold and mould the wrap over, under, or around anything you want to cover. Once warmed up a little, the wrap will release its naturally adhesive self-sealing finish to seal to a bowl or dish, or to secure to itself to create a tight but breathable seal. Each medium wrap measures approximately 30cm x 30cm. Don’t wrap with anything warm or hot! Whether that’s washing under warm water, putting in the oven, microwave or wrapping a dish that’s still hot, it will melt the wax straight off the wrap. Avoid all naked flames as wax is highly flammable! Avoid using with raw meat or fish, as cross-contamination may occur on its next use. Avoid storing anything super acidic or oily for too long as it will break down the wax and decrease the wrap's life. Suitable for fridge and freezer. Not suitable for microwaves or exposure to hot temperatures. Care instructions When cleaning vegan wax and beeswax wraps, most of the time a quick brush down or wipe with a cold damp cloth will do. However if a more thorough clean is needed, a wrap can be washed in COLD water, using a mild dishwashing soap. Don’t be afraid to give it a good scrub with a sponge or hard brush, then rinse off and hang up to dry. The 100% organic cotton is hardwearing and with careful use will keep going for around a year. If rewaxed it can last even longer. At the end of its life it can be composted. If the wrap becomes faded and frayed, cut it into strips, twist and use as environmentally friendly firelighters. They are completely waterproof and slow burning, perfect for campfires, BBQs and firesides. Alternatively pop it in with the compost - it's made of all-natural materials that will naturally biodegrade.
